About the Director
Dr. Punita Rice is director of NNEC. She is the founder of the Improving South Asian American Students' Experiences resource-hub (ISAASE.org), and author of the research book South Asian American Experiences in Schools: Brown Voices from the Classroom (Rowman & Littlefield, 2019), the children's book series The Adventures of Hunny & Sunny, and Toddler Weaning (2019). She holds a Doctorate in Education (2017) from Johns Hopkins University. She is a former classroom teacher, adviser with JHU, and marketing specialist. She is based in Maryland.
